What can we say about surfing? It’s endlessly appealing while being intensely intimidating.
How could you not want to ride across the smooth face of the ocean? And those cool surfer groms with their beach waves and laid back attitude… it’s impossible to ignore how rad they are!
And yet…
There’s a pretty high barrier to entry for this sport. Not only is there a learning curve when it comes to catching waves but there’s a close-knit (often closed-off) community and etiquette that can feel challenging to navigate.
However, we’re here to say it’s possible! More and more we’re seeing communities create openness and positivity in this sport, and with the right entry points (and attitude) you can join in the fun! Believe us, it’s worth it!
