I’ve been watching a lot of the new Queer Eye lately—and despite the fact that I’m 100% infatuated with Antoni who would rather bang it out with a dude than me—the show has inspired me to notice all of the unique, weird, and hilarious parts of each person in my ohana. It is these qualities that make me love you all.
For whatever reason, I ended up at the Circus Center in the Sunset District of San Francisco with two of my best friends. I’m not going to lie. The sight of this classical structure (something that would probably bring joy to the heart of any child) filled me with fear.
“Oh my god,” I thought to myself, “what the hell have I done??”
There was no turning back now, though.
It wasn’t really about the run. I’d be okay if I had to find a cardio alternative. It was about the fact that I’d lost myself so completely over the last year; that starting over, rediscovering who I was, wasn’t going to be easy.
