Why I Can't Stop Watching Superhero Movies

On Christmas day, Wonder Woman 1984 was released on HBO Max. I couldn’t believe how excited I was for it. When I’d finished watching it, I became aware that the urge for this type of movie wasn’t quelled. I found myself rewatching the first Wonder Woman movie as well as Justice League for the first time.

How I'm Trying to Reduce My Waste During the Pandemic

Because of my fear of the virus, I am guilty of creating more waste than I did prior to quarantine. I have surgical masks, accept single-use plastic bags at the grocery stores (now back to bringing my own tote and washing it after returning home), Clorox wipes, and have spent a lot more time ordering things online—a shopping habit that boredom seems to have spiked… I knew I needed to change. I knew that I wanted to find ways to reduce my waste, even while living in a world that is focused on disinfecting.

Quarantine Diaries: On Prayer (whatever that may be)

However, some are lucky enough to find that perfect flow of energy. That flow of energy leading to the place of goodness and light. Following that flow leads them to success (not monetary, necessarily, but happiness and contentment and joy in life). What if prayer is simply a form of tuning into this energy? Maybe meditation, yoga, running, hiking, reading a good book, coding a new experience, sleeping, or even dancing are all prayer. Maybe when we find that “flow” state that so many self-help gurus talk about, we’re actually in a state of prayer.
